well, today has been pretty uneventful (like most of my days as of late)....but i did manage to get my butt outside and go for a run. it is about 70 degrees right now and it is so gorgeous! there were so many other people in the park: walking, running, biking, and rollerblading. levi and me want to get rollerblades really bad. i guess i should say "inline skates", because no one calls them "rollerblades" anymore (except for a few people who grew up in the 80's and are now trying to sell their "rollerblades" on ebay). we want to go to a store to try some on, but we haven't had any luck finding a store in pittsburgh that sells them...not even dick's sporting goods has them. oh well. we might have to just order them on line and hope that they fit ok. anyway, we just want them for fun ....its not like we're going to go pro or anything. it is great exercise.
so my newest idea...well i have two actually, is to 1.) apply for a job at the island bean company, which is this great little drive-thru coffee bar by the northway mall. i went to it for the first time yesterday. there was one girl working two windows and i felt bad for her so i was like "do you need help?"...she said yes and gave me an application. she said she just opened about a month ago and was looking to hire someone within the next couple weeks! score. and in the meantime.. 2.) work towards getting my masters in human services from a school online. possibly capella university in minniapolis, mn. it doesn't sound very credible, i know, but i looked into it and it seems pretty good. i mean i don't really care if i get a degree from a top notch place, i just want to be able to say "hey, look, i have a masters degree in my field!". the way i see it, in human services it helps to have a masters degree to get more money or a better position...like any other job...however, in my field its not like people are fighting for jobs. there will always be people in need and agencies in need of social workers, so its not like it is absolutely mandatory that i get more education, but it definitely helps. plus, its something that i can strive to acheive. i know it will be hard...and cost money...but i feel like this is my chance to do it now and work where i want to work before me and levi decide to have a family. and having a family will absolutely come first before my career, so i want to get it out of my system while i can! and if i do decide to go back to work after the kid(s) start school, then i will have my masters to fall back on. so, in the long run i feel that this plan will be best. phew! sorry to bore you with all my rambling. i've had a lot on my mind lately as you can see! and a lot of time to dwell on things! well, i think i'll go find something fun and creative to do. i hope all of you who read this are having a fantabulous day!! and i do read your blogs and e-mails so please keep in touch!

hello darling! it sounds like you made up your mind about getting your masters. i think you should go for it! If you don't try you will always wonder. "there's no day like today"--i think that's from newsies..do you remember that movie? a very young christian bale starred in it.
ps are you walking around north park...cause thats one of my favs!
Hello Frankie,
Head Board Skateboard Shop on E Carson St. has inline skates. Good luck w/the job. That is right by my parent's house...I would come and visit you whenever we are in town.
rach: yes i do walk around north park (actually around the lake). it is about 6miles so i definitely feel the burn. i just wish i had someone to walk with. i have seen newsies, several times. christian bale is a cuttie. hows married life?
erin: i'll have to check out that shop. thanks! we've been searching around for inline skates for a couple weeks. hopefully i get the island bean job. the lady who works there now is really nice, and eerily familar. how have you been? definitely come and visit when you're in town! i would love that.
lots of good things and ideas happen in Minneapolis: go for it. gotta love an age you can get an advanced degree online, i guess.
and welcome back.
frankie, no pressure but i bought some shares of your blog at blogshares.com, so i'm invested in you now.
i want a pair of inline skates too - then i can zip around london much more efficiently... :) seriously though, they are a lot of fun!
